Homemade Chinese Dumpling

I stumble upon another simple recipe that even a beginner like you and me could do! It requires four main ingredients and the rest of the ingredients I am sure you have them in your kitchen. So, without further ado,

Serving Time: 30 mins

A single serving (estimated 12-15 pieces), adjust them according to your preference

One stick of carrot

Half of small cabbage

43g Minced meat/chicken

Dumpling wrappers

2 tbs soy sauce

1 tsp corn starch

1 tsp sugar

½ tbs of minced garlic

1 tbs sesame oil

Steps :

  1. Dice carrot and cabbage
  2. Mix them with the minced meat/chicken in a bowl
  3. Add sesame oil, garlic, soy sauce, corn starch, sugar
  4. Mix all together
  5. Place a tsp of the paste in the wrapper (de[
  6. Seal them with water
  7. Add vegetable oil in the pan
  8. Once it’s hot, pan-fry the dumplings
  9. Once the dumplings turn brownish on one side, add 1/3 of water in the pan
  10. Let them steam for 5 to 8 minutes

Condiments: soy sauce with some red chili (if you prefer spicy)

You could either serve them hot or at room temperature because both ways taste delicious. (I have tried)

REMINDER: If you have an excess of the paste, do not worry. You can always make fried rice with it. It tastes amazing!

Hope you enjoy! 🙂
